Jim Bailey, Senior Pastor
Jim and Amy have been married for 14 years and have been blessed with three wonderful children (Brennan, Madison, and Hudson). Prior to coming to Kansas City in 2002, Jim and Amy served in pastoral ministry in two different Christian colleges. Jim loves good coffee, good books, hiking, and Jesus! Jim and Amy are passionate about seeing transformation in the hearts and lives of people.
Tammy McDonald, Staff Pastor
Tammy and Buel have been serving in the local church for over twenty years. They have served Metro since 2002 in many areas: Compassion Ministries, Life Groups, Women’s Ministries, Children’s Ministries, Help’s Ministries and more. They have a heart to see the power of the Holy Spirit moving in every believer to reach the lost, the hurting and the broken. They have 4 kids, 3 in-laws and 4 grandchildren who keep their lives to the fullest.
Bobby Taylor, Worship Pastor
Bobby grew up in a small town in Central Illinois. He grew up in the Church and asked Jesus into his heart when he was 7 years old. His testimony is that he has never walked a day without the Lord. When Bobby was 18 years old he moved to Nashville Tennessee to attended Belmont University. He graduated in 2003 with a degree in music. Bobby and his wife Rachel were married in 2004 and have been serving at Metro with their two boys, Jaxon and Asher, since August of 2008. Bobby has a heart to pastor and disciple young musicians and artists in the local Church. He feels incredibly blessed that the Lord has opened this door for him.
Maricia Beel, Youth Pastor
Maricia grew up in a Catholic home learning about God but never really knew Him. It was 26 years ago when her eyes and ears were open, where her need for a Savior became her number one focus, and her greatest desire was to know Him. It was then that life truly began. She is a wife and mother of 2 beautiful godly young women. Hanging out with her family is the ultimate, whether it’s a roadtrip or just chillin. She loves the deep things of life and being apart of whatever God is doing around her. She is passionate about a transformed life in Jesus, whether it’s hers or someone else’s. Sitting at Starbucks with a latte and with the person (or persons) and talking about anything and everything is definitely a favorite. Her greatest joy? Sitting in the quiet, being still and listening in the silence is where it all happens. Dreaming His dreams, thinking His thoughts and planning His plans is what she loves the most.
Jennifer Parker, Children’s Ministry
Jen is married to an awesome guy named Bill and has two great kids, Josiah and Jessica. She rededicated her life to the Lord through an amazing experience with a four year old while in Mexico. Jesus simply said, “tell him I love him.” So, in English, she did. While he didn’t understand what she was saying, his spirit understood her completely! She have never been the same since. Jen has a passion for children coming into their destiny by experiencing the love of Jesus in a personal way.
